Revisiting 50 Years, Reflecting on Growth

We have been hard at work for a year now since we celebrated 50 Years of School-Based Health Centers together! Check out highlights from special event…

HELP SUSTAIN OUR WORK

Let’s reflect on the success the Minnesota School-Based Health Alliance has seen in our communities since we started this journey together:

  • Five brand new school-based health centers have opened their doors to students.

  • Minnesota now has thirty-four school-based health centers operating in urban and rural school districts: a 21% increase in growth since 2022.

  • We are working with an additional twelve communities across Minnesota who are developing plans to open school-based health centers.

  • Six new and emerging school-based health centers received grant funding from the Minnesota Department of Health.

  • Our Youth Advisory Council has eight members who are meeting monthly!

Our work has grown beyond expectation! A donation from you today, whether big or small, would increase our capacity to help communities launch these services in their schools. As Connie Sheehan, Program Director at Minnesota School-Based Health Aliance, expressed:

"No matter who we are serving, the vision is the same: every student deserves access to healthcare."
